About Dr. Randy Kamen
As a psychologist, educator, and author, Dr. Kamen helped pioneer new territory in mind-body medicine at Boston University’s School of Medicine and Dentistry specializing in stress, pain, and psychosomatic disorders. She also developed and directed the biofeedback and stress management department at Harvard’s Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital–Boston Pain Unit.
For three decades she has woven together complementary methods with positive psychology, and cognitive–behavioral therapy into her private practice, academic and medical institutions, corporate work, and the media, helping thousands of people struggling with a wide variety of challenges, transitions, and loss.
Today, her work revolves around helping women overcome painful emotions and build greater balance and happiness into their lives. She systematically teaches women how to deepen their capacity for insight and resilience by learning certain key strategies. Dr. Kamen masterfully guides women in becoming more self-compassionate so that they are less encumbered and can reach their full potential, both personally and professionally. Her goal is to facilitate women in creating their best and most fulfilling lives.
